Turner Shoes Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit or make a purchase from turner-shoes.com (the ‘Site’).
Personal Information Collected
When you visit the Site, we automatically collect certain information about your device, including information about your browser, IP address, time zone, and certain cookies that are installed on your device. As you browse the Site, we also collect information about the individual web pages or products you view, the websites or search terms that referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. We call this automatically collected information ‘Device Information’.
We collect device information using the following technologies:
- ‘Cookies’ are data files that are placed on your device or computer and often contain an anonymous unique identifier. For more information about cookies and how to disable them, please visit http://www.allaboutcookies.org.
- ‘Log files’ track actions on the website and collect data including your IP address, browser type, internet service provider, referring/exit pages, and date/time stamps.
- ‘Web beacons’, “tags” and ‘pixels’ are electronic files that record information about how you browse the website. When you make a purchase or attempt to make a purchase through the Site, we collect certain information from you, including your name, billing address, shipping address, and payment information (including credit card number, PayPal/Klarna username, email address, and phone number). We call this information ‘Order Information’.
When we refer to ‘Personal Information’ in this Privacy Policy, we mean both Device Information and Order Information.
How do we use your personal information?
We generally use the order information we collect to fulfil any orders placed through the website (including processing your payment information, organising shipping and sending invoices and/or order confirmations). In addition, we use this order information to:
- Communicate with you;
- to review our orders to detect potential risks or fraud; and
- to send you information or advertising about our products or services, if it matches the preferences you have shared with us.
- Product suppliers and third-party warehouses receive information about the content of the order and the buyer's shipping address: this information is necessary for us to organise shipping.
- Several suppliers work with the store and each order may be processed by a completely different company.
- If you want to know which supplier/warehouse has received the current buyer's information.
We use the device information we collect to help us detect potential risks and fraud (in particular your IP address) and more generally to improve and optimise our website (for example, by generating analytics about how our customers browse and interact with the website and to assess the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns).
By using our website, you (the visitor) consent to third parties processing your IP address to determine your location for currency conversion purposes. You also consent to this currency being stored in your browser's session cookie (a temporary cookie that is automatically deleted when you close your browser). We do this to ensure that the selected currency remains selected and consistent when browsing our website and to enable prices to be converted into your (the visitor's) local currency.
SMS marketing and notifications
When you enter your phone number at checkout and make a purchase, place an order via our order form or keyword, you consent to us sending you SMS notifications (for your order, including reminders of cancelled order) and SMS marketing offers. Up to 6 messages can be sent per month. You confirm that your consent is not a condition of purchase.
If you want to stop receiving marketing and SMS messages, you can reply STOP to any mobile message we send or use the unsubscribe link included in each of our messages. You understand and agree that alternative methods of unsubscribing, such as using different words or prompts, are not considered an appropriate way to unsubscribe. Message and data charges may apply.
If you have any questions, you can text HELP to the number you received the message from. You can contact us if you need more information. If you want to unsubscribe from SMS marketing, follow the procedure above.

For example, we use WordPress/Shopify to run our online store on the Site - you can read more about how WordPress/Shopify uses your personal data here: https://wordpress.org/about/privacy/ and https://www.shopify.com/legal/privacy. You can also opt out of Google Analytics here: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
